New avatar photo. At some point in the future I will decide to take a photo of myself, or allow someone else to photograph me, and the photo will come out nicely. Statistically, at least, it seems like it will happen. It just hasn’t yet. So here’s a close-up of a bank in Easton, PA.

I took these photos this morning when the sun was coming up. Saturday morning I had wanted to take some photos of the moon because it was dark red and massive in the sky, but, for some reason, it was gone in the five minutes it took me to grab the camera and put a memory card in it. I took these by angling the lens on my scarf and turning the timer on so that the pictures wouldn’t blur. They’ve been minimally edited, mainly to make up for the dirty lens.

I should probably make this the explanatory post instead of the last photo. These dozen photos are all from my daily hike. I took these a little bit after the sun was coming up. It’s the first time in three years I’ve bothered to bring a camera with me. The perspective is very strange in most of the photos, probably due to the fact they were all taken with an iphone—which actually has a pretty amazing camera.
